BV Science was present at IPPE 2019

BV Science had a booth showing its line of products; participated in the International ScientifiPoultry Forum and conducted, in this timeframe, its Annual Marketing Summit.

BV Science, the joint business unit of Vetanco S.A. and Dr. Bata Ltd., was present at the International Production & Processing Expo 2019 (IPPE), that was held from February 12 to 14 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, USA.

At the IPPE, BV Science presented its line of products, that are Detoxa Plus, Dysantic, Di Heptarine S, Herbanoplex CP, Uniwall Mos 25 and Gamaxine, and their team answered the technical and commercial inquiries of the clients.

Work meetings were also held between the directors of the main companies of the poultry industries of animal feed and the multidisciplinary work teams of BV Science, Vetanco and Dr. Bata, which brought together more than 40 professionals among commercial technicians, researchers, developers and specialists, interacting collaboratively with their main clients.

  

  

  

During the International Production & Processing Expo 2019, the International Scientific Poultry Forum was held, where five original research papers were presented, including oral presentations and posters by the technical teams of Vetanco SA, Dr. Bata Ltd. and BV Science.

The group formed by Sherry Layton, Jeffry Hall, Dave Zacek, Emanuel Gumina, Bruno Vecchi Galenda, Igor Días Praxedes Campagnoni, Viviana Molnár-Nagy, Arpad Bata, Gerardo Nava, Maritza Tamayo and Juan Carlos Lecompte, participated in this space and were charge of the dissertations.

The papers presented were:

  • Evaluation of a Subunit Salmonella Vaccine to Control and Reduce the Contamination of Salmonella Heidelberg in Ceca of Broiler Chickens;
  • Evaluation of Long-Term immunity and Protection against Salmonella spp by Orally Administrated Inactivated Vaccine;
  • Effect of a feed incorporated Silymarin based phytobiotic on the performance of broiler chickens administered a non-defined challenge;
  • Metallo-phytobiotics; novel weapons against Clostridium perfringens;
  • Effect of a feed incorporated metallo-phytobiotic on the performance of broiler chickens given a non-defined challenge.

The International Scientific Poultry Forum was sponsored by entities such as Southern Poultry Science Society, Southern Conference on Avian Diseases and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. There, information was presented on the topics of the industry such as environmental management, nutrition, physiology, pathology, processing and products, and avian diseases.

  

                    

In addition, within the framework of IPPE 2019, Vetanco, held its Annual Marketing Summit. It was a meeting attended by commercial directors of all the subsidiaries of the multinational with the aim of communicating and adjusting the international strategy. “The actions carried out in 2018 were evaluated, the new strategic proposals were analyzed and the business plans were approved for 2019-2020”, the company highlighted.

  

The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) is sponsored by: American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), the North American Meat Institute (NAMI) and the United States Association of Poultry and Eggs (USPOULTRY).

It is the largest annual event in the world dedicated to the poultry and animal feed industry. The main leaders of the sector attend each year to create networks and learn about the latest technological advances and the problems facing the industry. This year, more than 1,300 exhibitors participated and approximately 33,000 attended the events.
